Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation announced its new Board of Trustees for the year 2017 which includes elite of intellectuals and academics in the fields of literature, Arabic language and intercultural relations, to go in line with the Foundation’s activities on poetry, thought and intercultural dialogue all over the world.
The new Board of Trustees is composed of: Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain as Chairman, Abdulrahman Khalid Al-Babtain as the Secretary-General, and the membership of: Dr Taher Hajjar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Algeria; Dr. Mohammed Al-Rumaihi professor of sociology in Kuwait; Dr. Ziad Abu Laban, president of Jordanian Writers Association; Dr Suad Abdulwahab, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Kuwait University; Dr Abdarahman Tenkol, Moroccan professor of literary criticism; Dr Abdullah Tatawi, professor of Arabic literature at Cairo University; Dr Abdullah Al-Muhanna, professor at the Faculty of Arts, Kuwait University; Dr kamal Imran from Tunisia; DR Nadia Abu Ghazi professor of international relations, the Faculty of Economics and political Sciences, Cairo University; Dr Wejdan Al-Sayegh, professor of Arabic language, University of Michigan, the United States and Dr Yousef Bakkar, professor of Arabic language, the University of Yarmouk in Jordan .
In a press statement, the Foundation’s Chairman, poet Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain explained that the Foundation is seeking to get benefit from different expertise by including an elite of academics and experts to the board of trustees. They all have scientific and cultural aspirations that go in line with the Foundation’s goals in the dissemination of the Arabic language and culture along with its global efforts in rapprochement between peoples and intercultural dialogue.
Al-Babtain thanked also the members of the previous board for their important contributions and wished the new board to continue adding to the Foundation’s efforts and help in activate its goals globally.
